I got some work to do on posture realignment while playing, which probably contributed to the calcification in my tendon in the first place. The journey continues and is getting better every day ✨🙌🎹

So I asked #chatgpt today how does it see the future of music creation and performance with #ai being in the picture?

The first 6 answers were basically related to how AI can be used as a personal assistant during music creation and how it will play a role in the rise of virtual artists.

The last point was about human touch.

The way I feel about it is that I don’t want to deprive myself of the process of creation which I find therapeutic and cathartic. So at the moment I only use chat GPT if I feel stuck with something. And I haven’t really dabbled with other AI tools yet.

The other aspect is honing my skills (composition, songwriting, singing, performance…) because I know they have a positive impact on my brain capacity, memory, mental and physical health. And I would feel totally robbed of these enriching experiences and abilities if I outsourced them to AI. It’s kinda like using GPS for everything- our sense of direction has atrophied (and some probably don’t even know what it means).

I heard in an interview that kids today are on average about 30 seconds slower in one mile run than in the past (thanks to computers and sedentary lifestyle).

If we go the GPS way, we don’t have that much to look forward to as far as instrumentalists, vocalists, songwriters and performers go. Although I’d love to be proven wrong!!!

So a month after ultrasound guided needling, where

So a month after ultrasound guided needling, where they broke up the calcific deposit in the tendon of my right shoulder, my range of motion is gradually increasing. This is from 5 days ago, so today I should be a bit further but still work needs to be done.

The GOOD NEWS is that a few days back I was able to play the piano at home for almost two hours without any pain! That is a HUGE progress! Earlier, 20-30min into the practice, my shoulder would start hurting.

So send me good vibes and I’ll keep you posted about my progress. It wasn’t easy and fun to put my music on hold but in time, I’ll be back on the stage and on the road 😎
